Dallas County constable’s officers chased a woman and two children through Addison and Plano this morning after trying to stop her for a traffic violation.

When she pulled over, officers found two bags of what appeared to be marijuana in the car. The woman, who was not identified, was also driving with a suspended license.

The chase began about 10 a.m. in Addison and wound through Plano and Far North Dallas before ending 20 minutes later, back in Addison. Officers began the chase because the woman’s registration was expired.

The woman eventually stopped near the Bush Turnpike and Dallas North Tollway.

As constable’s officers approached the vehicle, they discovered the two children, ages 2 and 3.

The woman was arrested, and the children were taken to the Plano Police Department before being released to other family members.
