The nominations for the 2019 Emmy Awards were released Tuesday and among the shows and more with a big chance to take home trophies When They See Us has up for five nominations including Oustanding Limited Series as well as noms for actors Jharell Jerome,  Asante Blackk and Michael K. Williams as well as actresses Niecy Nash, Aunjanue Ellis, and Marsha Stephanie Blake. Speaking of Netflix, Beyoncé‘s Homecoming special is up for Outstanding Variety Special!

Pose is up for Best Drama Series as Billy Porter is nominated for Best Actor in a Drama Series alongside Sterling K. Brown from This Is Us. Other major nominations include Viola Davis for How To Get Away with Murder in the Lead Actress in a Drama Series category, Mahershala Ali for Lead Actor in a Limited Series/TV Movie for True Detective, Giancarlo Esposito for Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for Better Call Saul, and both Anthony Anderson (black-ish) and Don Cheadle (Black Monday) are nominated for Lead Actor in a Comedy Series.
