SAN ANTONIO – A 17-year-old high school student is facing a murder charge in the stabbing death of her 18-year-old boyfriend.

A staffer at the Bexar (BAYR) County Jail says Tiffany James was in custody Monday night under a $100,000 bond and no attorney information was available.

James is accused of Friday’s fatal stabbing of Antwan Wolford at an apartment that she, and sometimes Wolford, shared with her mother.

A spokeswoman for Child Protective Services said the 2-year-old child of James and Wolford remained with family members after the stabbing. Although James’ son and her sister’s child were in the apartment during the stabbing, police said both children were unharmed.

A police report said James told authorities she stabbed Wolford after the couple got into an argument that escalated into a fight.
