The NFL decides to cancel the preseason game for Cowboys against the Texans within 36 hours of the scheduled kickoff.
40,000 people purchased tickets and there has been no report on what will happen to those ticket sales. The game was moved from the NRG Stadium in Houston to the AT&T Stadium in Dallas because of the flooding and devastation in the Houston area right now.
The reason for the cancellation of the preseason game was so that players could be with their families during this rough time. The Texans were told not to even return to Houston after their game against the Saints because of Hurricane Harvey. They have been practicing at the Cowboys’ Stars facility in Frisco.
Hurricane Harvey has been long, rough, and life threatening to some. Canceling the game was a good idea on behalf of the NFL.
