Back to School DFW

I know, I know…  If your baby tells you one more time that they don’t like the School Lunch ONE MORE TIME, you are going to snatch all of your hair out!

But before you regret jacking up your BUNDLES, let me suggest some easy lunchtime meals that will save you from endless headaches and worrying about if your child is eating properly when they are out of your sight.

How about you give your child the power to choose what they would like to eat every day of the week on Sunday nights? And pack them up, so the lunches are ready to go when you are. This way you can feel confident that your child is going to eat their entire lunch BECAUSE THEY CHOSE what they are eating. Not you, and not the Lunch Lady.

Now… I’ve done some research into this to take the hard work out of it for you. It’s like the meal prepping that adults do, but this is for the sake of your sanity (wink.) And also for the sake of your child’s nutritional health. If they are not eating at lunchtime, or just inhaling the snacks provided by the school, your can guarantee they are not getting what they need to help them sustain the day and they overall health.  Also, if you have a child that is a little overweight and have been notified by their pediatrician that they need healthier choices, this is an easy way to orchestrate a plan of action for your young one.

I found two websites (Passion for Saving & Peg Fitzpatrick) talking about this very subject of Pre-Planned Lunching. And they offer a FREE Printout of their lunch guides for you to sit down and select lunches with your child. And it might work out for you to pack your lunches also!

Hope this helps, or we’ll look forward to seeing you on SNAPPED when the lunch blues send you over the edge. LOL. Enjoy and have fun with it.
