Poor Ivy League-Bound Teen Gets 25K After Offering To Use College Funds For His Mother’s Funeral

Dellarontay Readus, a high-achieving teen from Memphis, TN, first made headlines months ago when he was accepted into all eight Ivy League universities. Now he’s been overwhelmed with public support; Readus and his family have received $25,000 through a GoFundMe page to pay for his mother’s funeral. Readus was originally planning on using some of the money he’d received in his full scholarship to Stanford University to handle the costs.
