The 46th annual NAACP Image Awards came and went, but not without triumphant moments for Black Hollywood. Spike Lee was presented the Chairman’s Award, “black-ish” swept all categories they were nominated in, Taraji P. Henson took home the night’s biggest honor — “Entertainer Of The Year” and “Selma” finally got the recognition it deserves.

“It’s rigged. It’s not set up for us to win,” Spike Lee said in his acceptance speech speaking to Black projects being snubbed in Hollywood which makes the NAACP Image Awards more necessary than ever.
