Authorities have identified the man found dead in a car in Ferguson, and he may have been one of the witnesses in Darren Wilson’s case.

Police discovered the body of a guy that had been shot dead in a parked vehicle on Tuesday. According to USA Today, he has now been identified as 20-year-old Deandre Joshua.

The car, which had its windows busted out, was parked outside of an apartment complex near the site of Michael Brown’s fatal shooting.

Deandre’s family believes that he was killed during protests that popped off on Monday night after it was announced that Darren would not be indicted in Michael’s death. As such they will not be pressing charges.

The victim’s death has been ruled a homicide the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. His family doesn’t place much faith in the police investigation into the matter. As his grandmother told USA Today, “Police don’t care–he’s Black.”

There is speculation that he may have been one of the witnesses called to testify before the Ferguson grand jury in Darren Wilson’s case. This has not been confirmed as yet, however.
