Drake made a terminally-ill patient’s dream come true when he showed up to her prom in Houston on Saturday. The prom was for Kennedy Brown, a 15-year-old high school student who has been battling brain cancer for over two years.
A group of friends and classmates, moved by Kennedy’s courage, decided to throw her the prom she’s always wanted. Knowing she’s a huge fan of Drake, they create a campaign using the hashtag #kenfordrake in hopes that their message would reach the rapper and convince him to record a special video message to Kennedy to be played during the prom.
Drake caught wind of this, but instead of a video, he jumped on a plane and flew to Houston to personally deliver the message.
Drake shared pictures of the joyous meet-and-greet on his Instagram. Way to go Drake! What a great act of kindness!
