Since its big reveal yesterday, Kanye West’s new clothing line with French brand A.P.C. has already sold out! According to People, “The nine-piece capsule collection (which A.P.C. designer Jean Touitou said was two years in the making) crashed the site and sold out promptly, though A.P.C. is still taking pre-orders for the next shipment until Wednesday at 1:00 p.m.”

One particular piece in the collection that has a lot of people talking is the “Hip Hop T-Shirt.” It’ s a T-shirt made of Egyptian cotton, available in black and white and retails for, get ready for this, a whopping $120! Even though it seems to be selling before it’s even on racks, some fans are criticizing Ye and his shirt, claiming that it’s simply an overpriced plain white tee.

Whadafunk clothing tweeted “LMAO…dying over the fact Kanye is selling a plain white t-shirt for $120 called “Hip Hop T-Shirt” and y’all buying into it.”

Rev Mike Cohen says “Kanye ‘Plain White T’ goes for $120. what about #newslaves?”,  referencing Kanye’s song “New Slaves” which critiques materialism.

Guns and Crayons clothing took a jab as well, tweeting “Gotta love Kanye West he will make a song like new slaves then turn around and sell you a $120 white tee made of Egyptian cotton smh.”

Regardless of what critics say, there obviously isn’t a shortage of people willing to fork over the cash to say they’re wearing a piece of Ye’s collection. Would you pay that much to rock his new hip-hop shirt?
