A peaceful pot rally turned violent in Colorado when shots were fired while Lil Flip performed.
Recently Colorado is one of the states to legalize marijuana which made this past 4/20 a very special occasion in Denver. Rapper Lil Flip was performing at Civic Center Park where thousands had gathered and at around 5:00pm local time shots were fired with two people being struck.
Witnesses reported hearing four or five shots fired, and a man was hit in his leg, along with a woman, and a dog. An eye witness reports seeing the man in pain on the ground, and police arriving very quickly to assist him, “I saw him fall, grabbing his leg. He was just screaming that he was in pain, and wanted to know where his girlfriend was. She was OK. And then the cops showed up real quick, like, less than a minute. They put him on ambulance and left.
There was an expected crowd of up to 80,000 people to ring in the first legal 4/20 in Colorado’s history so police presence was strong.
