Today is Fathers day and by a show of hands, who got a tie and pair socks like I did!!??( LOL, just kidding to my wife,if you are reading this). But why isn’t there as much hype for fathers day as it is for mothers day?! Men play an important(or just as) part in the parenting efforts also, let me stop you ladies before you go into your deadbeat dad rant……..Wasn’t he the same sorry a** dude you laid down with before you made the baby. So the likelyhood of him transforming to super dad after 9 months, probably is not going to happen! But I really don’t want to get side tracked, if there is a man that you laid down with and he is trying to be father to his child…..then let him. Every man can’t be Heathcliff Huxtable, but he surely can be (insert name here). He is not going to be perfect, but he can be the perfect father in the eyes of that child. Give him a chance, the impact of having a father in childs life can be instrumental in the child developing into being the man or woman they are meant to be. If they are a deadbeat dad, then you don’t have to consistently remind them or the child of it. The child will see it for themself in there own time and I’m sure the man thinks about it more than you think he does. It all boils down to being the best father you can be MEN and there really isn’t more that needs to be said!!!! HAPPY FATHERS DAY!!!!!!!
