The man suspected of killing three people and wounding others near Auburn University could appear in court Wednesday, a day after turning himself in.
Desmonte Leonard, 22, turned himself in to U.S. marshals at the federal courthouse in Montgomery, according to Montgomery County Sheriff D.T. Marshall.
He could be returned to Auburn for his court appearance as early as Wednesday, said Auburn Police Chief Tommy Dawson.
