Believe it or not homie isn’t half bad. Check out his Black & Yellow remix!!

ACCORDING TO VLADTV.COM:

It was just last year when Chester Hanks, or Chet Haze, as he goes by, made a big name for himself by recording a track dubbed White & Purple, a spin-off of Wiz Khalifa’s smash hit Black & Yellow.

The 21-year-old has made it well known that he has serious aspirations for becoming a hip hop emcee and he now has probably some powerful support in his corner: his dad, Tom Hanks.

The superstar actor and his wife seem to have taken interest in young Chet’s early career, reportedly attending a New York City nightclub over the weekend to hear their son’s skills on the mic after making an appearance on Saturday Night Live.

Reports say that Tom and wife Rita Wilson entered through the side entrance of the venue to listen to Haze perform another song called Hollywood.

The young artist spoke on how inspirational the music of the late great Notorious B.I.G. has been to him:

“The most inspirational moment for me, as a hip-hop fan, occurred when I heard Ready to Die. My older brother had bought me the album. I saw it lying around my room one day when I was a little kid and I just threw it in my stereo not knowing what I was about to get in to. And so then I just sat and listened to Ready to Die. From beginning to end. Without saying a word, kind of with my jaw dropped. It touched me in such a way that from that day on, anything I listened to was hip-hop. Everyday. Everyday of my life. I was so curious. People like Big L, Jay-Z, Nas. Wu-Tang.” (SOHH)
