After a long year of self-promotion and nearly endless guest features, Young Money’s Nicki Minaj has announced plans to take a 24 month break from collaborations.

While she did not offer an explanation as to why, Minaj did admit she would possibly break her two-year promise for pop singer Britney Spears.

“I’m done with the collabs,” Minaj revealed in an interview. “No more collabs for the next two years. [Britney Spears?] Oh yeah. [smiles] Britney’s a snatch like me and she’s cute. Yes. We might could do something.” (Hip Hollywood)

Not only a star within the hip-hop community, country singer Taylor Swift recently showed off her admiration toward Nicki.

During a visit to Nashville’s 107.5 The River, radio jocks gave the singer the opportunity to request one song. Swift opted for Minaj’s ‘Super Bass’, a track off her debut album, ‘Pink Friday’. The country crooner, rather shyly, admitted she was able to recite the words to the rapper’s track. Though she revealed she usually only spits a verse in the comfort of her own car, Swift demonstrated her rhyming abilities by rapping a few choice lines during her interview. Once finished, Taylor seemed a bit embarrassed over how she performed. “I just rapped acappella very badly,” she stated. “But it’s a good enough song.” (AOL Music Blog)

Hollywood actress Gwyneth Paltrow is also a fan of Minaj’s work.

“I listen to everything,” Paltrow said in an interview. “I probably have the most schizophranic [sic] iPod. My biggest obsession right now is the Nicki Minaj album. She’s a genius. I’m also obsessed with Kanye’s album. I really like Dierks Bentley. He has a bluegrass record that I really love…I watched Beyonce a ton because I think she’s the best live performer happening right now. She has this amazing confidence…” (Stumble Upon)

To date, Minaj’s Pink Friday debut album has sold over 1 million copies.

Leading the pack this week is Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday which dropped three slots to No. 4 with 46,700 copies. According to Nielsen SoundScan, Minaj’s debut album now sits at 1,081,300 sold copies after three months. (SOHH Sales Wrap)
