MINNEAPOLIS (Jan. 17, 2011) –Taste of the NFL is proud to announce that Miss America 2011 Teresa Scanlan will appear at its 20th annual “Party with a Purpose®” fundraising event on Saturday, Feb. 5 at the Fort Worth Convention Center. Marking one of her first public appearances in her new reign as Miss America, Scanlan will be on hand to greet guests, sign autographs and take photos at the strolling food and wine event that raises money for food banks nationwide.

A native of Gerig, Nebraska, Scanlan was crowned Miss America on Saturday, Jan. 15 at the 90th Annual Miss America Pageant in Las Vegas. At 17 years old, she is one of the youngest winners to hold the title of Miss America.

“Our relationship with this organization continues to grow, and we appreciate their support of our efforts to bring awareness to the increasing issue of hunger in our country,” said Wayne Kostroski, founder of Taste of the NFL Founder. “She also happens to be one of the most popular guests in the room as everyone vies to have their photo taken with her.”

The 2011 Taste of the NFL event is made possible through sponsorships from PepsiCo, E & J Gallo Winery, North Texas Cadillac Dealers, Macy’s, Glazer’s Distributors and Swanson. Media partners include the Fort Worth Star Telegram and Indulge Magazine.
