NIKKI ALMOST GOT THE BOOT FROM WEEZY!!!

Nicki Minaj almost missed out on the success that she has been experiencing over the past year. The Young Money rapstress says she had to step up her lyrical game after Lil Wayne nearly gave her the boot.

After she dropped off the second leg of Lil Wayne’s “I Am Music” tour, Nicki Minaj became lost and lonely in her music. She told Billboard:

“I started to record by myself and I lost track of what I was doing and who I wanted to be. It wasn’t until I linked back up with Wayne that he gave me this speech. He said, ‘What happened? You were hot,’ and it just hurt me so much. I wanted to prove to him that I was still hot. It hurt my ego so bad that I went back with a vengeance.”

It’s funny how things work out. If it wasn’t for Nicki Minaj and Drake, who knows what would have happened to Young Money while Lil Wayne was incarcerated.
