Authorities involved in Keith Lamont Scott’s shooting investigation withheld over two hours of footage captured by police dash cam cameras. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department released a two-minute long video on Saturday afternoon, taken from a body camera worn by one of the responding officers. CMPD’s lawyer Judy Emken said the unreleased footage was withheld because it was too violent, while other aspects are irrelevant to the investigation. Family of Raleigh Shooting Victim Says Accused Murderer is “George Zimmerman 2.0”

The family of a slain Raleigh, North Carolina, man likened his accused shooter to a new-age George Zimmerman, according to reports. Kouren-Rodney Bernard Thomas, 20, was shot and killed on Sunday outside a home near a party he attended. Chad Cameron Copley, 39, who was arrested for Thomas’ murder, allegedly called 911 before the incident to report “hoodlums” in his neighborhood. “I am locked and loaded. I’m going outside to secure my neighborhood,” he reportedly said. Judge Releases Body Camera Footage In 2015 Shooting Death Of 6-Year-Old Boy

A Louisiana judge released body camera footage showing officers who fired into a vehicle, unknowingly killing a 6-year-old child inside. The incident took place in 2015 after officers observed a couple arguing near a local bar. Officers followed the man, who fled the scene in his car.
