Nicki Minaj just dropped a video for “Side By Side,” which features Ariana Grande, but she didn’t stop there. The rapper surprised fans yesterday with a new song titled “Pink Freestyle.”
In the nearly six-minute track, she shouts out Lil’ Wayne, who recently said he’s retiring from music, TD Jakes, Meek Mill and the legendary Foxy Brown. However, the oddest shout-out goes to Harambe the Gorilla. In case you forgot, Harambe was shot and killed at a Cincinnati zoo earlier this year to save a child’s life. Minaj spat, “I’m dragging these hoes likes Harambe did the kid.” Gotta love, Nicki. Let’s hope PETA doesn’t start protesting!
