On a new episode of First We Feast‘s “Hot Ones,” Joe Budden explains how he ended up chasing a few kids who were chanting Drake lyrics outside of his home this past Sunday. Unless you live under a rock, you know the unexpected social media moment made for some hilarious memes, and also resulted in a strategic Drizzy following one of the young fans on Instagram.

According to Joe, the kids had actually been trolling him all day long. After admitting he’s “a little off” (and had nothing better to do), the “Making A Murderer Pt. 1” rapper also revealed he started thinking violent thoughts while contemplating possible solutions in dealing with the annoying fans.

Ultimately, Joe’s desire to avoid prison is what influenced his strategy. He recalled, “I said ‘Wait a minute, I could go out there with my gun to shoot somebody! Wait… nah, nah Troy, nah, nope… won’t Troy me,” referring to New York rapper Troy Ave and the tragic May 2016 Irving Plaza shootings.

Joe explains he had to “filter his craziness” and ultimately decided on chasing the kids with rocks. Watch him tell the story of visiting the fans at their home to teach them a lesson just above. Is it just us, or do Drake beefs have a mind of their own? You’ve got to love it.
