R&B Diva Chrisette Michele stopped by 97.9 The Beat to discuss her latest release “Milestone,” which is out now. The album comes after a 7-year legal dispute with former music manager and college sweetheart Doug “Biggs” Ellison that left the two at odds against each other as well as the label.

After years of touring and litigation the two were able to reach a mutual agreement, which set the stage for Chrisette to take her mother’s advice, open her heart and let Biggs know that she missed him. Within a week the two hopped back in the studio and he proposed!

The blushing bride-to-be is gearing up for a 33-city tour to promote the album and snatch some coin for her probable Great Gatsby theme wedding slated for this Winter. The 33-year-old singer is considering an extravagant affair at a castle somewhere in New York, where she does not plan on singing. Instead, she’s eyeing Tamar Braxton for a musical selection– contingent upon drawing a large wedding party in order for the former “The Real” co-host to feel comfortable. Apparently, Tamar has a fear of singing before intimate crowds?

In the same spirit of reconciliation, Chrisette discussed how she and Rick Ross made up and collaborated on their first duet since 2010’s “Aston Martin Music.”
