The Dallas Wings, #WNBA20’s newest team, is already in the mix and going hard in the paint with a 2-1 season lead even without starting guard Skylar Diggins on the floor yet. The team won 90-79 over the Indiana Fever in the season opener, but lost to the New York Liberty last Sunday.
Despite the previous upset, the Wings whopped up on the Washington Mystics last night in D.C., beating them with a 10-point lead. Much of the team’s victory is being attributed to Irving’s own Odyssey Sims. The Baylor alumnae scored 22 points in Wednesday’s game, with a 16 point average– the highest on the team so far.
Get to know Sims, the Dallas Wing’s hometown hero, better in the interview above. Be sure to be at their next home game this Saturday, May 21 at 7:30pm as they go head-to-head against the San Antonio Stars at the University of Texas- Arlington.
