Now that The Game/Stitches beef is subsiding, The Game has more important legal drama to focus on. The rapper was in court today, where he pleaded not guilty to punching a police officer during what was supposed to be a friendly basketball game for charity.The incident, as you may recall, took place back in March. It resulted in a felony charge for making criminal threats, as well as a misdemeanor charge for assault and battery.The police officer The Game allegedly punched, Onyebuchi Awaji, was in court last month and testified to the fact that The Game threatened to kill him– Awaji also filed a lawsuit against The Game, as we reported on, claiming the punch left him with a brain injury.
We’ll keep you posted once the trial starts. The Game himself said that he could be facing three years in jail.
