Chance the Rapper brought out Ja Rule in NYC. Beyonce, Jay Z, and Usher attended the show.

Chance the Rapper‘s “Family Matters” tour came through NYC last night, and some celebrity guests were in attendance to watch the young rapper perform with his band, The Social Experiment. Fetty Wap isn’t the only young artist Beyonce is rocking with these days, as she, her husband, and Usher were pictured with Chance backstage at last night’s show. Perhaps Jay is courting Chance to be the next young Chicagoan on Roc Nation following Vic Mensa, who he signed in April.

Chance brought out an even more surprising guest to the stage: Ja Rule, who performed his hits “New York” and “Livin’ It Up.” After the show, Ja tweeted his support to Chance, echoing Kanye’s “listen to the kids” message from this year’s VMAs.

Chance captioned his backstage photo with Jay, Bey, and Usher with the hashtag “thirdmixtape,” which should signal that his new project is coming soon. If it matches the quality of his first two mixtapes, it’s sure to be a game-changing release. Chance also recently told Ebro that he’s about to release a song with Stephen Colbert.

There’s still over a month to go on the “Family Matters” tour, which also includes Metro Boomin, D.R.A.M., and Towkio. Check dates here.
