Come join 97.9 The Beat at the Susan G. Komen Race for the cure is on Saturday October 17th from 8am-12noon at North Park Center. This Race is to help raise money and awareness for Breast Cancer. FASHIONS FOR THE CURE CELEBRATES LIFE WITH FOOD FASHION AND FUN

FASHIONS FOR THE CURE, a 501c3 nonprofit organization that focuses on Cancer Survivorship, Support and Celebration, is hosting its 8th Annual 2015 Fashions for the Cure Breast Cancer Awareness Survivorship Celebration Dinner and Fashion Show. This Gala is a lavish evening affair celebrating survivorship for all cancer survivors, their caregivers, family and friends. This year’s event’s theme is “ALL ABOUT THE MEN”
COME OUT AND SUPPORT THE MEN IN YOUR LIFE: FATHER, GRANDFATHER, UNCLE, BROTHER, NEPHEW. The cancer that frequently effect men are prostate, colon, lung and skin cancers. We want to encourage our men to take the time to visit their Dr’s regularly and stay on top of what matters most… LIFE!

Money raised by this Annual Fashions For The Cure Gala is donated throughout the year to local organizations that assists in short term care to include but not limited to utility bills, doctor’s visits, transportation to office visits, wigs, prosthetics , food, and special clothing.
