If you recall, Tahiry Jose was brutally attacked last year during a show at New York Fashion Week. According to previous reports, Tahiry was preparing to walk in her first show, but a man named Carlos Gonzales, who was the production manager of the venue, attacked her, which resulted in Tahiry going to the hospital.
According to Tahiry’s team, Gonzales had shown a strong dislike toward her from the moment she arrived at the venue. A witness alleged that the altercation began when Tahiry asked Gonzales why he was being so rude to her. He allegedly blacked out, hit her several times, and even attempted to drag her by her hair.
Fast forward to this year, Tahiry is suing Gonzales, claiming that the attack was so bad that it affected her work. She probably couldn’t make any club appearances for a while due to being battered. Gonzales actually appeared before a judge earlier this year, and avoided jail time by pleading guilty to assault. However, he did have to complete an anger management course.
Hopefully Tahiry gets the resolution she needs. Gonzales is lucky Joe Budden didn’t come for him. Tahiry and Joe Budden haven’t been a couple for a while, but still, a beatdown could have been a possibility.
