In what many consider a landmark victory, New England Patriots Quarterback Tom Brady has won his appeal against the National Football League. A Federal judge said NFL commissioner Roger Goodell went too far in bringing down the suspension of the four-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback.

Brady was accused of conspiracy to deflate footballs below the allowable limit at last season’s AFC Championship Game versus the Indianapolis Colts.

The NFL can appeal the decision but it’s likely not to be heard until after the 2015-16 season.
