The “Straight Outta Compton” soundtrack, rumored to feature new music from Kendrick Lamar, Eminem and Dr. Dre, is apparently dropping on Friday.

Long in-the-works N.W.A. biopic “Straight Outta Compton” is finally scheduled to drop two weeks from Friday (on August 14th), but what about its almost equally-hyped soundtrack? Earlier this month, we got word from director F. Gary Gray that Dr. Dre would be executive producing, and it would feature Eminem and Kendrick Lamar, which only made for more anticipation. Yesterday, Ice Cube let slip that the album will arrive on Friday.

Speaking with Gray, Jason Mitchell (who plays Eazy-E in the film) and his son on Power 99, Cube announced that the soundtrack will drop this Friday, August 1st. No other details were shared. In the rest of the interview, the cast and crew members of “Straight Outta Compton” discuss a possible reunion tour, police violence and Suge Knight.
