According to various gossip sites, Shawn “Jay Z” Carter has made another power move in the music industry. Jay Z’s Roc Nation label reportedly acquired 2pac’s entire album catalog from Entertainment One who acquired it from Death Row Records in 2003. The purchased includes all of the masters to 2pac’s albums and unreleased material.

The purchase of 2pac’s album catalog is a monumental move in the music industry as he is one of the highest selling Hip-Hop artists of our time. The purchase reportedly cost Jay Z and Roc Nation $384 Million. The deal also gives Jigga exclusive rights to any music that is released which would feature any of Pac’s songs or lyrics.

We haven’t seen any relevant music news site confirm the story but stay tuned. You never know.
