Do you believe Bill Cosby is a rapist? It’s a question we’ve had trouble answering ourselves. Nearly 30 women have accused Cosby of some sort of sexual assault and rape. Their their stories are all intertwined by a common claim: Cosby drugged them before taking advantage of them. An incredulous Phylicia Rashad think it’s all a ploy to destroy Cosby’s legacy while others think he should fry.

Last night, Larry Wilmore and a panel of witty pundits (including a friend of #TeamBeautiful’s, Jamilah Lemieux) gathered on “The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore” to discuss the very topic that has polarized Cosby fans. Did he or didn’t he do it?

“That motherf*cker did it,” Wilmore sternly stated. More importantly, Wilmore posed this question: “why aren’t we listening to these women?”

Jamilah responded, “Rape is the only crime, yes we have a system of innocent until proven guilty, but we’re a society — community members., police officers, district attorneys really go so far out of their way to discredit victims as if we can’t accept the idea that a man — particularly a powerful man — would take measures to take something from a woman.”

It wasn’t a complete drag session as comedian Keith Robinson defended the once beloved comedian. “I just think we’re going too hard on Cosby. We’re already acting like we know that he did it.” Oh. Really?

Wilmore argued, “This is the court of public opinion and this is my show and that n*gga did it. The proof is common sense for Christ sake. We don’t have to turn off our brain because the law says we’re not supposed to make assumptions.”

And there you have it.
