10/15/14- Today is Doctor Day on the TJMS and Wal Mart’s Kevin McCarter,  the Director of Channel Management, Wealth & Wellness Sales and Contracting for Wal-Mart stores, Inc. wants customers to know that Wal-Mart can help them find quality health insurance. The retailer is working with directhealth.com, a licensed health insurance agency, to launch ‘Healthcare Begins Here at 2800 of its stores nationwide. You can find that list here. 

“‘We’re offering unprecedented access to healtcare insurance information and enrollment support,” McCall says. Wal-Mart has partnered with Direct Health to provide resources for customers including online, phone and in-store support for customers to enroll in Medicare plans or public health care exchanges. And they can get their questions asked about healthcare.

Open enrollment begins for Medicare Part D starts October 15 through December 7 and for customers under 65, the health insurance marketplace a.k.a. Obamacare’s enrollment period begins November 15 and runs through December 7.

Depending on the customer’s needs, there are plans that may included $0 copays. Wal-Mart can provide extensive assistance  to ensure the customer gets the best deal for their money.
