Chris Brown’s turn to stand trial for the assault of a man outside the W Hotel in DC will begin soon. His bodyguard Christopher Hollosy, who was also charged in the incident, was just found guilty of misdemeanor assault. Parker Adams, a 20-year-old Maryland art student, alleges that both Hollosy and Chris hit him several times.  Hollosy testified he was the only one who laid hands on Parker to stop him from sneaking onto Brown’s tour bus. His sentencing is scheduled for June 25.

Chris’ trial was set to begin immediately after Hollosy’s wrapped up, but his lawyer has decided to delay it until Wednesday so he can review the bodyguard’s testimony. Hollosy is expected to testify on Chris’ behalf.

If Brown is found guilty, he would be violating his probation for assaulting Rihanna in 2009 and could face up to four years in prison.
