Penélope Cruz is Allure‘s January cover girl, and the Spanish actress discusses everything from her creative upbringing to her friendship with actress Salma Hayek.
Cruz told the magazine that Hayek, who she calls “huevos”, is one of her closest friends – at one point the two even shared a bed. ”We slept in the same bed so many times and it was like she was always trying to wake me up and call me huevos,” Cruz told the magazine.
The actress also spoke about her creative childhood, which fostered personal and creative freedom that built the foundation for her acting career. “There was always music, and everybody was dancing, sometimes naked around the house. Not hippie, but very free,” she said.
