We know Drake is one of the coldest rappers out, but according to hockey icon Wayne Gretzky, he is “the true great one.” At least that was the message Wayne wrote on the autographed jersey he sent to Drizzy. Seems Drake was speechless when he got his gift and couldn’t wait to show the world, captioning the photo with one simple word…”Wow.”
Maybe Wayne heard Drake’s “Stay Fly” freestyle that references Gretzky in the line “I’m fly like the New York Jets be/In a G5 two nines on me like Wayne Gretzky,” or perhaps he’s pleased with the way Drake represents their home country every chance he gets and wanted to show his gratitude. Either way, I’m sure it’s reassuring to Drake that he’s doing a great job and to keep up the good work.
