Let this be a lesson to everybody, especially celebrities. Do not make promises you are not willing to keep them. Ryan Leslie‘s 2010 Cadillac Escalade was repossessed in efforts to pay off the million dollar bounty Leslie put on his laptop once it went missing almost two years ago.
In case you forgot, Ryan Leslie lost his laptop and offered a million dollar reward if it was found and returned to him. A German man named Armin Augustein found the laptop and gave it back to Leslie. However, Leslie never paid Augustein his million dollars because Leslie says the music that was on the computer when it was lost wash;’t there when it was returned.
When Augustein filed suit against Ryan Leslie for the million dollars, a judge sided with Armin Augustein and ordered the singer/songwriter/producer to pay up. Ryan Leslie has only paid $5,000 to Augustein and now New York City marshals have seized Ryan Leslie’s 2010 Cadillac Escalade, which is in mint condition, so that it can be auctioned and the proceeds will go to Armin Augustein. In an ad for the vehicle’s auction, it is advertised as having DVD players, power steering, power windows, and third-row seating.
