No Limit Records recording artist Mr. Magic and his wife reportedly died in a car accident last night in Mississippi. The silver lining? Magic’s daughter reportedly survived the wreck.
The Ninth-Ward New Orleans rapper released four solo albums; the first three of them on No Limit, and the final one, On My Own, on Koch Records. His debut album, Sky’s the Limit, drew some national attention, landing at #15 on the Billboard 200 when it was released in 1998.
He was also known as one-third of the Body Head Bangerz, alongside fellow No Limit alumnus Choppa and rapper/boxer Roy Jones, Jr. Condolences to Magic and his family.
