Ryan “The Rap Weasel” Leslie performed last night at LIU’s homecoming concert. During his set, he spoke on having to cough up a $1 million and the NY Post’s slanderous headline.

Remember back in 2010 when Ryan Leslie‘s little laptop of beats got stolen, and he offered up that cash money prize of $1 million? (Dr. Evil pinky was not included.) Well, he got his computer back, and the man who found it wasn’t compensated for his sleuth-ness. Leslie got taken to court, and now he has to pay up.

Leslie made a plea on YouTube for whoever found his property would receive $1 million. Armin Augstein, a German car mechanic who found the laptop while walking his dog, turned it in back in November 2010. Augstein never got the money, so he sued.

“No one forced him to make an offer of so much money for a finder’s fee,” Augstein said to The New York Post. “It seems like he believes that that which he promised, he doesn’t have to live up to.”

Leslie believes that Augstein was involved in the theft which was why he did not pay the reward. He also stated that his computer was damaged. In the courtroom, however, Leslie’s team tried to settle with Augstein, but it was too late.

The verdict was final after only three hours of deliberation, and Leslie seems to have accepted the decision.

It really seems like Ryan Leslie can’t catch a break. His girl is gone (Cassie in the arms of Diddy). Miguel stole all his shine (and rightfully so). We’re not talking about his latest album. And now he’s out of a $1 million. I hope it’s back to the drawing board for this Harvard boy.
