I MUST ADMIT I KINDA LIKE THAT SHOW!!! LOL

ACCORDING TO EURWEB.COM:

*Who knew the word “yup” could get you taken to court?

According to reports, Trey Songz is being sued by “Storage Wars” star, Dave ‘The Mogul’ Hester over the catchphrase, “Yuuup!”

The two actually had a disagreement in the past about it, when Songz sent a cease and desist letter to Hester, demanding he refrain from using the phrase on the show.

Just a little background: If you’ve ever watched “Storage Wars,” this guy yells, “Yuuup” when he makes a bid at an auction. It’s common.

Anyway, the singer also told Hester to stop sales of branded merchandise that read “Yuuup!” which he claims has been his “signature sound” since 2009.

So, now Hester is taking Songz to court, says the New York Post.

In a lawsuit filed in Manhattan federal court, Hester contends that Songz version of the phrase “resembles an animal-like or non-human squeal which begins with a distinct ‘yeeee’ sound before finishing with a squeal-like ‘uuuup’ sound,” which is “distinct and different from Hester’s more monosyllabic sounding guttural auction bidding phrase … which is meant to convey the meaning of ‘yes.’”

By the way, Hester claims he trademarked the phrase back in September.
