A tornado warning has been issued for northeastern Johnson County and southeastern Tarrant County until 1:30 p.m. A tornado warning has also been issued for southern Dallas County and north central Ellis County until 1:45 p.m.
Severe thunderstorms are expected in portions of Oklahoma and Texas on Tuesday. This includes the Dallas/Ft. Worth metro area where tornadoes have been spotted this afternoon. Wednesday, the threat shifts eastward into the lower-Mississippi Valley. The areas at risk are shaded in red on the two forecast maps below. Damaging winds and large hail are the main threats, however we cannot rule out the chance of a few tornadoes.
